Awards:
  1. Participants will receive an event T-shirt and swim cap (distributed at check-in), a commemorative sports towel at the finish line, and a certificate showing their official completion time.

  2. Before the closing time of 11:05, the first 2,000 people who complete the race (including competition and challenge) will be given a challenge success commemorative medal. They can be collected at the landing point of Yi Da Shao. No replacement will be issued after the deadline.

  3. Competition 3Km:

    • The results of this competition will be processed in accordance with the "National Team Coach and Athlete Selection Training and Participation Procedures" and will serve as an important reference for the Republic of China Swimming Association to train athletes at all levels and select national players for the 2026 edition.

  • Registration Instructions & Payment Methods:

    ( 1 ) All registrations for this event will be online. Registrations after the deadline or on-site will not be accepted. The competition team must have a team leader and coach. After filling in the information, print out the written registration information and attach the results certificate and send it to the competition team for review and approval, and then notify the payment.
    ( 2 ) After logging in to the [Online Registration] area and filling in the registration information

    1.The registration fee is paid through the 7-11 convenience store's ibon system [Registrants must pay the convenience store a handling fee of 20 yuan per transaction (the maximum limit for each registration fee is 20,000 yuan)]

    2.Payment process:
    Complete online registration → automatically obtain an i-bon payment code → bring this i-bon code to any 7-11 convenience store → click "Payment" on the i-bon machine screen → select "Code Input" → enter your payment code "3-digit English letters + 12-digit numbers, for example: SML+000000123456 (15 digits in total)" → select and confirm your "payment items and information" → "Confirm, print payment slip" → pay at the 7-11 convenience store counter with the payment slip → complete registration and payment

    3.After the payment is successful, the system will automatically notify you by email to confirm the payment is successful; in addition, you can also check whether the payment is successful on the event registration system

    4.Reminder: After registering online, you must complete the payment at a 7-11 convenience store within 3 days, otherwise your registration will be automatically cancelled by the system.

    ( 3 ) Those who have completed the registration procedures and paid the fees, if they are unable to participate in the competition for some reason, need to fill in the refund reason with the team name and the registration information of the member to the official email of the conference smlowsc@gmail.com. The conference will actively reply to the payment after verification, and refund the remaining 45% after deducting the expenses required for related administrative operations (applications must be submitted 3 weeks before the event, and will not be accepted after the deadline); the souvenirs of the competition can be collected by teammates, and if they need to be mailed after the competition, the postage must be paid by the participants themselves.
     ( 4 ) In order to ensure the safety and rights of the players, the registered players are not allowed to enter the water under someone else's name. Those who violate the rules will be permanently banned from the competition and will bear all responsibilities.
    ( 5 ) When registering online, the team leader and participating team members must read the contents of the Swim Crossing Agreement carefully so that the team leader can press the "Agree" button when registering on behalf of the team members, indicating that all team members accept and abide by all the contents of the Swim Crossing Agreement.
     ( 6 ) If you need a leave letter, please leave an email note when registering, and the organizer will send it to you after the event.
     ( 7 ) Applicants who fail to produce the printed registration receipt number or proof of receipt will not be allowed to participate in the competition.
     ( 8 ) In accordance with the "Personal Data Protection Act" of our country, this registration information is only used by the organizer to handle this event.
  • Qualification for the 3km Swim Challenge:

    (Must be 13 years old or older (born before December 31, 2012) or 69 years old or younger (born after December 31, 1956) physically and mentally healthy, without special diseases, capable of long-distance swimming, and agree to accept the relevant regulations of the event. Limited to 3 people (inclusive) or more. Please sign the participation consent form when registering. Participants under the age of 20 (born after December 31, 2005) must also obtain the consent of their parents or guardians and sign the parent or guardian consent statement before they can participate. Without the consent form, the registration will be deemed invalid. (Please bring the completed parent consent form with you on the day of the event on 9/27 for reference)
  • Qualification for the 3km Swimming Competition:

    Applicants must be 14 years old or older (born before December 31, 2011) or 69 years old or younger (born after December 31, 1956 ), physically and mentally healthy, without any special diseases, and have the ability to swim long distances. Please sign the Participation Agreement Form when registering. Applicants under the age of 20 (born after December 31, 2005 ) must also obtain the consent of their parents or guardians and sign the Parent or Guardian Consent Statement before they can participate. Registration without the consent form and a copy of the participation certificate will be deemed invalid. (Please bring the completed parental consent form with you on the day of the event on 9/27 for reference).
    For the 3km race, participants who register for the competition group must submit a copy of their national or international swimming results (including triathlon swimming results). Please take a photo of the results and upload it on the registration website. The long-distance 1500-meter result must not exceed 30 minutes, and the short-distance 100-meter freestyle must not exceed 2 minutes. (If the race is not completed within 90 minutes on the day of the race, the chief referee will terminate the race and require participants who have not completed the race to leave the race route without objection. With the chief referee's permission, an additional 30 minutes may be added to complete the race.).

  • In response to the new regulations of the Insurance Act, minors under the age of 15 and those over the age of 65 are requested to purchase insurance by themselves.   • The organizer will help athletes to do the indemnity work and acquire reimburse expense but won’t offer any damage compensation or sympathy claim.)

  • Please have your Health Insurance Card with you to the race.)

  • Special exclusions from insurance companies:

    (1) Personal illness leading to sports injuries
    (2) Symptoms caused by personal constitution or cardiovascular disease, such as shock, heart disease, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, altitude sickness, epilepsy, dehydration, etc.
    (3) Participants should do their best according to their physical condition. They should get enough sleep the day before the competition and eat 2 hours before the competition. If you feel unwell, please stop the competition immediately and ask for help. If you force yourself to compete and get heat stroke (heat exhaustion), it is very dangerous (the insurance company will not pay for it). The association will provide emergency medical treatment on site. Symptoms caused by the participants' own diseases are not covered by the organizer's insurance. The organizer's insurance covers injuries caused by "public accidents".
    (4) Accidents that occur during the competition are covered by the insurance. Accidents that occur outside the competition are not covered by the insurance.

  • Swimming rules:

    (1) The competition will be conducted in accordance with the latest "Open Water Swimming Competition Rules" issued by the World Aquatics Federation (WORLD AQUATIC) and the Chinese Swimming Association.
    (2) In order to protect the rights and safety of all participants, they must wear the swimming caps issued by the organizers throughout the race. For the 3km race, the numbers must be affixed (written) on both arms (vertically), the upper back and the back of the hands. Those who fail to comply will be disqualified.
    (3) 3km racers in the competition group wear a registration chip, write their numbers and complete the registration procedures. They follow the guidance of the staff to the starting area. After the roll call is completed, they are not allowed to leave without permission.
    (4) The ranking of the competition group is determined by the order in which the hands touch the touch pad at the end. Those who fail to touch the touch pad will not be counted.
    (5) All participants must go to the finish line award ceremony to collect the results certificate and return the chip immediately after landing at the finish line (Ida Shao Pier) (please collect the certificate first, then return the chip)
    (6) The closing time for the 'Competition Group 3km' is 2 hours. The 'Swim Challenge Group' is 2 hours and 30 minutes. If a participant fails to complete the entire race within the specified time, or fails to pass the finish line of the Competition Group 3km within the closing time, the chief referee may terminate the race and require the participant to leave the race route without objection. After leaving the water, the participant must report to the finish line. The participant may only complete the remaining race with the permission of the chief referee.
    (7) The swimsuit specifications follow the World Water Sports Rules. The one-piece suit must be bare-shoulder, bare-arm, bare-ankle, and must not have zippers.If the water temperature is below 18℃, you must wear a wetsuit. If the water temperature is above 18℃, you cannot wear a wetsuit.
    (8) In addition to the above regulations, competitors are not allowed to wear or carry any items that enhance endurance or buoyancy, or any auxiliary items or tools that improve swimming speed, but may use approved swimsuits (one-piece swimsuits must be sleeveless)
    (9) During the race, you cannot use fixed or floating objects to gain leverage, nor can you deliberately touch the escort boat or the people on board, or be touched by them.
    (10) If a player or designated representative unfairly gains advantage by violating the rules of the game or intentionally touching another player, the following procedures will apply:

    1st Foul

    Display a yellow flag and a sign with the runner’s number printed on it to indicate that the runner has violated the rules。

    2nd Foul

    Display a red flag and a sign with the runner’s number printed on it, indicating that it is the second time that the runner has violated the rules.

    (11) If a competitor is disqualified, he/she must leave the water immediately and board the escort boat to report to the finish line referee.
    (12) There will be no feeding table for this event
    (13) The organizer reserves the right to reject any application from participants who do not meet the requirements.
    (14) In case of any disputes, the organizer reserves the right to make the final decision

    (16) If a competitor breaks a record (conference or national), the Association has the right to require them to undergo a doping test.

    (1).According to the National Doping Control Rules (NADR), athletes participating in events organized by the association are considered national athletes and may be subject to drug testing.

    (2).According to the International Standard on Therapeutic Use Exemptions (ISTUE) national-level athletes who wish to use banned substances or methods for therapeutic purposes should apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) from the Chinese Sports Doping Prevention Foundation and can only use the substances after approval.

    1. Use of "anytime prohibited (in-competition and out-of-competition) substances or methods (S1~S5, M1~M3, P1)": Regardless of whether you are participating in the competition or not, you should apply as soon as possible. Those who have not yet applied should submit their application before the application deadline。
    2. In-competition period [starting from midnight (23:59) the day before the athlete’s scheduled competition until the end of the competition and specimen collection process] Use of “Limited In-competition Prohibited Substances (S6~S9, P1)”: should be submitted before the application deadline。
    3. Under special circumstances (such as emergency medical treatment, etc.), a retrospective TUE application may be submitted after use or after the application deadline. For details, please see the "Notice on Therapeutic Use Exemption for Athletes" below.。

    (3).The deadline for TUE application for this event is August 23。

    (17) This competition rules will be implemented after being reported to the Ministry of Education and Sports Administration for record. The same applies when it is revised.

  • Swimming Competition 3km Appeal:

    1. Legitimate appeals should be made in the form of a written report signed by the team leader or coach, accompanied by a deposit of NT$5,000, and submitted to the chief referee within 30 minutes after the end of the competition. If there are clear provisions in the rules or relevant synonymous notes, the decision of the chief referee shall be final.
    2. If you have any doubts about the chief judge's decision, you may appeal to the Technical Committee, and the decision of the Technical Committee shall be the final decision.
    3. For any part of the contestant qualifications and rules not expressly provided for, the decision of the Technical Committee shall be final.
    4. If the appeal is established, the deposit will be returned. If the appeal is not established, the deposit will be forfeited and will not be returned. The deposit will be returned to the organizer of the competition for the purpose of organizing the competition. The staff or players of each participating unit are not allowed to directly question the referee. Violators will be reported to the Disciplinary Committee of the Association for discussion and punishment.
  • Entry Instructions:

    ※To ensure the safety of the players, the referee may stop the players from continuing the game depending on the situation.
    1. The swimmers will not be ranked, and should participate in a team-assisted swimming style. A certificate will be issued to the finishers.。
    2. The first 2,000 people who complete the race (including the competition group and the challenge group) will be given a commemorative medal for the successful challenge.
      The commemorative medal and towel will be collected on site at the end point, I-Ta-Shao Pier. No replacement will be issued.
    3. Those who do not wear the identification cap and chip provided by the event (those who have not registered) are not allowed to enter the water. In order to maintain safety, swimmers in the challenge group must wear a standard torpedo buoy (with an identification number card) throughout the swim. Those who do not carry it are also prohibited from entering the water.
    4. Participants in the swimming challenge group must bring their own standard torpedo buoy (as shown in the right picture, other styles are not allowed), and are prohibited from wearing fins to avoid kicking others. Do not swim breaststroke within the first 100 meters of entering the water to avoid kicking others.image007
    5. If you feel unwell during swimming, please do not panic, hold on to the life buoy, take off your swimming cap, raise your hands and ask for help from nearby swimmers and swimmers, help call for help, and ask for help from lifeguards in any effective way to ensure safety。
    6. Except for the torpedo buoy, participants in each group are not allowed to bring any buoys (promotional objects) that may hinder the lifeguards and block the referee's sight, so as not to affect the lifeguard's sight. If the violators do not listen to the advice, the referee has the right to confiscate their participation qualifications。
    7. There will be no vehicle restrictions on the day of the race, please make use of public transportation
    8. Participants in the swimming challenge group are requested to bring waterproof bags, slippers, personal clothing necessities, torpedo buoys, whistles, etc. according to their personal habits in case of emergency.。
    9. Before entering the water, the leaders of the swimming challenge team must confirm that all teammates are present and organize them into groups to help each other, so that no one is left behind and no team members are left alone to swim across the water. The whole team must take care of each other to maintain the safety of all team members.。
    10. The race will end at 12:00 am on the same day. The pool will be cleared and those who have not finished swimming will need to get on the lifeboat with the help of lifeguards to finish the swimming activity.
    11. The commemorative shirts, swimming caps, and timing chips will be collected at Mingtan Junior High School from 15:00 to 20:00 on 9/26 (Friday). Please report on time to collect them. Those who do not collect them on the same day will not be re-sent.。
    12. For safety reasons, each team needs to count the number of people after the swim. Please strictly control the team members. Team members are not allowed to leave without permission or leave the team before all members have landed.。
    13. If you have purchased lunch boxes after the tour, please pick them up at the conference service desk at 10:30 (only for registered reservations).
    14. In order to maintain the safety of the players and the quality of the event, the competition will be closed within the specified time limit. Please practice harder and improve your strength so that you can enjoy the fun of the competition.
    15. It is prohibited to conduct commercial promotion activities in an abnormal manner. Participants agree to authorize the organizer to own the videos and photos taken on the day of the event, and to use, modify, publish, reproduce, distribute, adapt, publicly transmit, publicly broadcast, publicly screen and publicly display them without further notice or payment of any fees.
    16. If a player violates the rules during the competition and does not follow the referee's instructions, undermines the fairness of the competition, seriously interferes with the event or creates problems, the organizer has the right to disqualify the player and refuse to register for future events.。
    17. If an emergency occurs on the day of the activity and the activity cannot continue, the referee will use red and yellow flags to indicate that the activity will be stopped after 30 seconds of whistle blowing. All personnel must follow the instructions of the lifeguard to get ashore quickly without objection.。
    18. The start and end points of the event are at different locations, so there will be no "baggage storage area" on site. Participants are requested to plan and handle their own。
  • Special statement:

    Open water swimming competition is a risky water sport. To ensure the safety of participants, you must first assess your health status and only register if you have completed a long-distance swim of more than 3,000 meters within a year. Those with any physical or mental illness (medical history) such as heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, epilepsy, cellulitis, and those who use banned drugs should not register. During the competition, the Association will do its best to ensure the safety of all participants, but the Association and relevant staff will not be responsible for any casualties of participants during the competition.
  • Refund Instructions:

    If the event is cancelled due to natural disasters, drought, low water levels or force majeure, the organizer will announce the refund instructions on the website, deduct the souvenirs that have been made for swimmers and athletes, and the administrative and equipment costs of the event, and the remaining refund will be processed; the souvenirs will be sent to the address of the registered contact person.
